Meet Your Designer Team

The High Country Drapery Designs team is growing by leaps and bounds. Due to our expansion into the Greenville, South Carolina and the Knoxville, Tennessee areas we have added outstanding qualified team members to our roster and we’re excited to introduce you to them! We’ve also added a new Designer in the Chattanooga who brings both education and expertise in Interior Design to Southeastern Tennessee and North Georgia.

So. with that in mind, please join us in welcoming our newest Design Team Members:

 

Francesca Banks – Designer

Francesca is our Designer serving the Chattanooga Metropolitan and North Georgia areas. Originally from Chicago, Francesca attended Loyola University for her Undergraduate Degree and Harrington College of design for her Master’s degree in Interior Design. Francesca moved to Chattanooga a year ago to be close to her brother, and her parents quickly followed.

Favorite Movie: The Money Pit

Guilty Pleasure: Reality TV

Favorite Color: Blue 

Most People Don’t Know: My happy place is in any art gallery

Favorite Food: Italian

Free Time: spend time with family or hikes with husband/dog

 
 

Beth Mills – Designer

Beth is our Designer serving the Greenville, South Carolina and West North Carolina regions. She has been a Designer now for several months and brings lots of the experience to the role as a former math teacher. If you’ve ever created custom window treatments, you understand how important this is. She is married to a wonderful man, is the mother of 3 grown children and is “M.E.” to 5 grandchildren, all five and under! A sweet golden retriever named Bear rounds out the family. Beth loves traveling and exploring new places.

Favorite color: Green

Most People Don’t Know: I am fluent in sign language

Favorite Food: Pasta

Free Time: hike, kayak, enjoy nature; Just started pickleball – we’ll see.

 

 

 

Cindy Cornelius – Designer

Cindy is our Designer serving Eastern Tennessee. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Cindy has worked in the Design Industry since 1991 and has experience in new construction, window treatments, custom closets, and whole house design. Cindy and her husband just moved into their dream home near the lake where she’ll be acting as Chief Designer. They enjoy traveling to see their out-of-town children and are big sports fans.  Go Vols and Go Clemson Tigers!

-Most People Don’t Know:  I met my husband on a blind date, but he was not the blind date!

-Favorite Food:  Most Anything Mexican

-What do you do in your Free Time: Paint – Furniture and Paintings.

 

 

 

Jill Ballew – CEO, Owner of High Country Drapery Designs

In 2015 Jill opened her business to assist designers and homeowners with dressing their homes in beautiful textiles. High Country creates all things “fabric” for windows and homes. High Country also provides motorization for all of those things! Jill has an adventurous soul and loves to travel and explore the world. Jill has 4 adult children who have been her inspiration for High Country and will soon be an “empty nester”. In 2022, Jill became a “Lolli” with her first granddaughter born in November.

-Most People Don’t Know:  President Carter and Rosalyn rode their bikes to my house when I lived in Plains GA. Rosalyn told President Carter that she wanted a front door the same color as mine!

-Favorite Food: Ravioli
